Post ArtsHOP 2009 Media reports Sun newspaper, Nov 18, 2009 Sun newspaper, Nov 25, 2009 FRIDAY: November 13th 5 to 9 PM 3rd Annual Gallery Walk Hosted by the Art League, Island Gallery West, the Artists' Guild Gallery and the Studio at Gulf and Pine, but includes other galleries, businesses and studios featuring local artists and their art work with local musicians adding ambiance at sites and through out the island. Each gallery will host an open house with complimentary refreshments and features such as live music,
art demonstrations and prizes. Start at any participating gallery to pick up an ArtsHOP "passport"
which maps out the ArtsHOP galleries on Anna Maria Island. Visitors who get their passport stamped at
six of the eight ArtsHOP galleries will receive a valuable coupon worth 20 percent off dinner at
any one of the three popular local Chiles Restaurants, The Sandbar, Beach House or Mar Vista.
Additionally qualifying visitors will be eligible for a $150-value arts supply basket courtesy of
Keeton's Art Supply of Bradenton, FL -- just by turning in their stamped passport at the Anna Maria
Island Art League or The Studio at Gulf and Pine before 8:45 p.m.

Trudy takes us, along with her two alien companions, on a discovery trip to find out what it means to be human and imparting her own impressions on life. She tunes in a wide array of people, ranging from Agnus Angst, a 15-year-old punk performance artist; Agnus' grandparents Lud and Marie; Chrissy, a recently unemployed workout enthusiast; Lily, an actress currently performing a one-woman show; and many others, both men and women, gay and straight. SATURDAY: November 14th 10AM to 5PM Arts and Crafts Festival Holmes Beach City Hall Field Sponsored by and benefit for the AMI Butterfly Garden Enjoy arts, crafts, food and music at the annual Anna Maria Island Butterfly Park Arts and Crafts Show at Holmes Beach City Hall Field, 5801 Marina Drive from 10 am - 5 pm on Saturday, November 14 and 10 am - 4 pm on Sunday, November 15. 10 AM to 12 PM Palm Frond Weaving Demonstrations by Betsy Smith Come and see first hand how traditional palm frond weaving is done. The museum will be open and there will be guided tours provided throughout. 5 PM to 7 PM AMIHS Jail House Rock Sock Hop Sponsored by the Anna Maria Island Historical Society Dance to live 50s music provided by Roclin' Rob with "Blast from the Past". Come dressed in poodle skirts or greaser outfits, jocks and cheerleaders alike! There will be a limbo and twist contest as well as a bubble gum blowing contest. We'll have vintage cars from the era on display and both the Island museum and Belle Haven cracker cottage will be open with free guided tours.
