BIRD HOUSES EVERYWHERE!
We appreciate your interest in our 7th annual artsHOP public art. Each year we choose a theme and display the artwork received in as many places on the island as possible.
If you are associated with a business, you can make arrangements to have them display your bird houses and we will provide them with sales instructions.
Everyone is welcome to enter a bird house to our public art display. There is no criteria on size, shape, or materials used. Some folks are doing fabric bird houses, others
are using clay. Some folks are making paper bird houses, some are designing wooden houses, while others are picking up bird houses at the local craft stores and painting them.
They can be small or large, skinny or fat...... just as long as it's a recognizable bird house.
We would like you to determine a price for your bird house. As the artist, you will receive 50% of that price if it is sold. The other 50% will be donated to the
Anna Maria Island Wildlife Education & Rehabilitation Center in Bradenton Beach. If you are not familiar with that
organization, please look at their Facebook page - they have been rescuing and rehabilitating our wild life and birds for many years. Ed Straight is the administrator and will
be appearing at several of our artsHOP venues with his knowledge and his birds. If your bird house is not sold we will contact you after artsHOP for pickup.
If you are interested in being a part of artsHOP 2013, please click on the link below and email the form to Marsha Bard (email@example.com)
We thank you in advance for your interest and participation.... please get out and enjoy artsHOP, and bring your friends!
Birdhouse by Ted Baird, price $250
"This is my representation of the historic Gulf Park Hotel that was built in 1906 and burned in 1979. It was located on Gulf Drive at 26th street where the present day Anna Marie Club Condos are located.
It is a Faux birdhouse, not a functioning birdhouse. It is presented as a birdhouse to fit into the Arts Hop theme and to depict some of the Island history." Ted Baird
Island Gallery West artists have created a window display of bird houses for artsHOP - all of the bird houses are for sale and the artists have agreed to
donate 100% of all sales to the Wildlife Rehabilitation and Resue!
