5th Annual AMI Butterfly Garden Arts and Crafts Fair

5801 Marina Drive, Holmes Beach
Holmes Beach City Hall Field
Over 30 vendors from around the Tampa Bay area and beyond will be on hand selling their wares at the Holmes Beach Field located at City Hall. There will be art, food, plants, crafts, jewelry, clothing, photography, live music and more! Admission is free and there is plenty of free parking available, or ride the free trolley.

Traditional Small Maritime Craft Show

AMIHS Jail and Museum complex, Pine Avenue, Anna Maria
The Anna Maria Island Historical Society in conjunction with the Florida Maritime Museum at Cortez will host a traditional small boat show at the society's museum complex on both Saturday and Sunday. Visitors interested in boatbuilding, messabouts, rowing, paddling, sailing, techniques, equipment and maritime history will not be disappointed. we have an original Sam Cobb boat on location already. Built circa 1901. Sams boat is made of wood and was a row boat. But he later altered it so it could take a motor on board.

The following list is the boats the Florida Maritime Museum is planning to bring out:
  • Sallie Adams 21 1890s Cortez Mullet boat built by our boat works
  • Elizabeth Ring 18 1920s Manatee River sailing / rowing skiff built by our boat works
  • Esperanza 15 Cuban fishing/ refugee skiff 1940s arrived in Fla Keys 1990 , restored by our boat works
